Start with the problem
Web3 is an umbrella term, not a single solution. The strongest projects begin with a clear need: sharing control, verifying ownership, or coordinating people who do not already trust one another. Technology should serve that need, rather than become a reason to create one.
Ownership comes with responsibility
Self-custody and direct participation can provide independence, but they also introduce new responsibilities. Key management, transaction fees, and irreversible mistakes are part of the picture. A useful discussion of ownership includes both the freedom and the burden.
Measure outcomes, not slogans
Look for products people continue to use when incentives disappear. Ask whether the experience is understandable and whether the added complexity creates a real benefit. Durable ideas should be able to explain their value without relying on jargon.
